Practical design tips for plate heat exchangers in ammonia refrigeration systems.
Author(s) : WAND S. M.
Summary
The use of plate heat exchangers with CFCs has become common over the past few years. The article explains the conditions in which either nickel-brazed or gasketed exchangers can be used with ammonia. The special devices for ammonia injection in the case of dry expansion in plate exchangers are described, along with their perfomances and different possible uses.
