Summary

Various kinds of oils can be used as the lubrication oils for alternative refrigerant compressors and systems and extensive studies have been conducted toward the practical use. The following are generally known as the concerns of polyvinylether: weakness for oxidation, bad influence upon insulator by hydration, and electrical resistance. The authors investigated those problems and concluded that polyvinylether can be applicable to alternative refrigerant compressors and systems of practical use.
