Summary

Performance analysis was made for the generator of the absorption refrigeration cycle using TFE/NMP as a working fluid. In the study, the static and the dynamic model were constructed. The model includes the heat and mass transfer characteristics in the generator and is able to predict the concentration distribution of solution in the generator along the flow direction, and the outlet concentration of the generated refrigerant vapour and the solution. The heat transfer in the generator was decided giving the heat transfer coefficient with temperature difference between the heat transfer wall of the generator and the solution. The mass transfer was decided giving the overall mass transfer coefficient between the solution bulk flow and the generated refrigerant bubbles. In the results, it was found that the calculation method proposed in the study was effective to predict the dynamic behaviour of the generator accompanied by the change of the temperature and the solution flow condition.
