Summary

In the paper, simulation models for the heat pump using TFE/NMP (2,2,2-trifluoroethanol/n-methyl-2-pyrrolidone) as working fluid is given and calculated by the models. According to the simulation results, the experiments for the heat pump prototype is done under the condition that cooling water inlet/outlet temperatures are 40/50°C and evaporation temperature is 2°C. The purpose of experiment is to check the difference between simulation and experiment results. Through the simulation and experiment, it is found that the sensible heat of refrigerant liquid from the condenser and the rectification heat for purifying refrigerant vapour from the generator are larger. So, the cycle can be improved. Improvement way is that a sub-cooler and a partial condenser to recovering the rectification heat are set in the heat pump system. Then, experiment for improved cycle is done. The experiment result shows that the COP of improved cycle is about 15% higher than that of the prototype.
