Prediction of the performance of a reciprocating compressor.

Author(s) : AN K. H., LEE J. H., LEE I. W., et al.

Summary

The polytropic process assumption was used for modelling the cylinder thermodynamic process and four-pole transfer matrix for gas pulsations and spring-mass model for valve dynamics. ANSYS and SYSNOISE software was also used. By comparing the simulated data such as the energy efficiency ratio, cylinder pressure, suction pressure, etc. to the experimental data, the authors confirmed the feasibility of the technique developed.
