Prediction of the thermal behaviour of coupled hydride beds operating in a heat pump cycle.

Author(s) : PONS M., DANTZER P.

Summary

A validated model of heat transfer in hydride beds is used for simulating the thermal behaviour of lanthanum-nickel and manganese-nickel-iron beds that operate in a heat pump cycle designed for air conditioning. Dissymmetry of the cycle is pointed out with respect to the length of each cycle period, as well as with respect to the behaviour of each bed.
