Prediction of two-phase flow of air and water in a closed-wet cooling tower for comfort cooling of buildings.
Author(s) : RIFFAT S. B., GAN G.
Summary
Chilled ceilings are used for comfort cooling of industrial and office buildings. Evaporative cooling in closed-wet cooling towers is an environmentally friendly method for providing cold water for the chilled ceilings without the need for refrigerative cooling. The paper presents a CFD technique for predicting two-phase flow of air and water in closed-wet cooling towers.
