Summary

A METHOD OF PREPARATION OF STERILE PLACENTA BLOOD DURING DELIVERY HAS BEEN DEVELOPED. THE DATA ON STRUCTURAL AND FUNCTIONAL INTEGRITY OF PLACENTA ERYTHROCYTES PRESERVED IN LIQUID NITROGEN AND ITS VAPOUR AT 123 TO 77 K (-150 TO -196 DEG C) IN THE PRESENCE OF PROTECTIVE SOLUTION INDICATED THE POSSIBILITY OF USINGFROZEN-THAWED AND WASHED PLACENTA RED BLOOD CELLS FOR TRANSFUSIONS.
