THE PAPER SHOWS HOW THE ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE INSIDE AUTOMOBILES REACTS TO THE CHANGES IN THE EXTERNAL PRESSURE WHEN PASSING THROUGH TUNNELS AT HIGH VELOCITY AND THE NECESSITY FOR PROTECTIVE MEASURES. IT ALSO DESCRIBES THE POSSIBILITIES OF MEASURING AND EVALUATING THE EFFICIENCY OF THE SOLUTIONS ADOPTED. THE BASIC TECHNIQUES FOR EQUIPPING THE AIR CONDITIONING PLANT OF AUTOMOBILES WITH PROTECTION AGAINST PRESSURE ARE THEN STUDIED.
