IIR document

Pressure-viscosity coefficient of a refrigerant-oil mixture.

Author(s) : ISAKSSON O., ASTROM H.

Type of article: Article, IJR article

Summary

The change in viscosity of a mixture of refrigerant and oil (R22 and Gargoyle Arctic 300) at different pressures was investigated. The increase in pressure with excess refrigerant available decreases the viscosity due to a higher miscibility of the fluid in oil. If the concentration is kept at a constant level, the viscosity will increase with pressure.
