Summary
This article describes the factors governing the preservation environment for unearthed cultural relics. It points out such problems as great daily fluctuations in temperature and humidity, lack of an air-conditioned environment for exhibition and preservation in small museums, etc. The author considers that it is important to improve the thermal performance of the building envelope, to adopt an ice-storage system, and to build underground gas-conditioned store rooms for improvement of the preservation environment.
