Summary

MOTOR COOLING PROCESSES USING REFRIGERANT VAPOUR SUCTION OVER THE ELECTRICAL COILS, REFRIGERANT VAPOUR SUCTION IN CONTACT WITH ONLY ONE FACE OF THE COIL AND OUTER COOLING WITH NATURAL OR FORCED AIR CONVECTION WERE TESTED. COOLING ONLY ONE FACE OF THE MOTOR COIL WAS FOUND INEFFICIENT. OUTSIDE AIR COOLING OF ELECTRIC MOTOR BODY IMPROVED THE REFRIGERATING CAPACITY, COP AND VOLUMETRIC EFFICIENCY, BUT THE ELECTRIC MOTOR MUST NOT BE OVERLOADED. THIS METHOD IS PREFERABLY SUITABLE FOR LOW EVAPORATING AND CONDENSING TEMPERATURES.
