Summary
Adding a kind of non-volatile absorbent to a transcritical cycle system, replacing the condenser and the evaporator of a conventional system with an absorber and a desorber, composes a compression-absorption cycle, in which the pressure of the system decreases to about 35 bars (instead of 120 bars in a conventional transcritical CO2 cycle). In the paper, the development of a carbon dioxide compression-absorption cycle for vehicle air conditioning is investigated.
