Summary

Quality characteristics were studied in fruit of melons cv Calipso, Creso, Pecos and Helton at harvest and after storage in different conditions. Quality assessment was made by measuring skin and pulp firmness, pulp colour, soluble solids, sucrose, glucose and fructose content, acidity, juiciness and percentage of edible parts. Skin and pulp firmness changed as function of storage conditions.
