QUALITY CONTROL OF COLD STORE ASSEMBLING BY INFRARED THERMOGRAPHY AND NUMERICAL SIMULATION.

Author(s) : GRINZATO E. G.

Summary

A METHODOLOGY IS DESCRIBED FOR EVALUATING QUANTITATIVELY THE THERMAL PERFORMANCES OF PREFABRICATED COLD STORES. A NUMERICAL MODEL OF A PREFABRICATED PANEL WAS DEVELOPED. THIS MODEL CALCULATES, IN A RAPID AND RELIABLE WAY, THE TEMPERATURES OF THE PANEL SURFACE, UNDER STEADY THERMAL CONDITIONS. THE SUPERFICIAL TEMPERATURES WHICH ARE OBTAINED IN REAL TIME BY A SPECIALIZED COMPUTER ARE PRESENTED. THE EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS ARE BASED ON RECORDINGS OF THERMOGRAPHIC DATA, WHICH ARE INTEGRATED WITH SOME TIME-BASED MEASUREMENTS. THE EXPERIMENTAL METHOD SIMULATES, ON A REDUCED SCALE, THE REAL CONDITIONS OF OPERATION IN A COLD STORE. THE OBJECTIVE OF THE TECHNOLOGY PROPOSED IS TO PROVIDE THE POSSIBILITY OF EXAMINING THE QUALITY OF A COLD STORE DURING CONSTRUCTION.
