Summary
An overview of the qualitative characteristics for various strawberry cultivars (27 in 1992, 26 in 1993 and 42 in 1994) is reported. Data on colour, soluble acids, titrable acidity, firmness, compression test, sugars and organic acids are presented and discussed. Strawberries were tested for storability by putting the fruit in cold storage for four days plus one day at room temperature and monitoring the qualitative changes during this period.
