Summary
Onions of Desi and Red varieties are irradiated at 0.10 kilograys, stored at 20 deg C and at ambient temperature for 6 months. The internal and external quality of irradiated samples is superior to non-irradiated samples, whatever the storage temperature. Effects of irradiation on water loss and on the percentage of rots in onions.
