STUDY OF A PERSONAL COOLING KIT USING ICE FOR WORKERS SUBJECTED TO HIGH AMBIENT TEMPERATURES IN NUCLEAR POWER STATIONS. THIS GARMENT, WORN UNDER CLOTHING TO PREVENT IONIZING RADIATIONS, HAS POCKETS INTO WHICH SMALL ICE PACKS ARE PLACED. FOR TASKS INVOLVING AN ENERGY EXPENSE OF 232 W, THE AVERAGE EXPOSURE TIME WITHOUT COOLING (CONTROL) IS 52 MIN: IT INCREASES BY 242% WITH 7.2 KG, 163% WITH 6.2 KG (LONG GARMENT) AND 115% WITH 3.8 KG ICE (SHORT GARMENT).
