Summary

HIGH PERFORMANCE HEAT TRANSFER TUBES ASSIST ENERGY CONSERVATION AND HELP TO MAKE AIR CONDITIONERS AND REFRIGERATORS MORE COMPACT. THIS REPORT INTRODUCES SEVERAL TYPES OF HIGH EFFICIENCY HEAT TRANSFER TUBES WHICH HAVE BEEN DEVELOPED IN RECENT YEARS. INNER GROOVEDTUBES ARE WIDELY USED FOR AIR CONDITIONERS AND PROVIDE 2 TO 3 TIMES MORE EFFICIENT HEAT TRANSFER PERFORMANCE IN BOILING AND CONDENSATION ON THE INNER SURFACE AS COMPARED WITH PLAIN TUBES. SOME OUTER FINNED TUBES HAVE A 5 TO 10 TIMES HIGHER BOILING HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT AND A 2 TO 5 TIMES HIGHER CONDENSATION HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT ON THE OUTER SURFACE THAN CONVENTIONAL TUBES.
