Summary

In Italy, the recent modification to the law 549/93 prepares the decree prohibiting the use of HCFC products in new equipment as from 2008. The author examines the regulations relating to the Montreal Protocol, developments linked to the greenhouse effect, various refrigerants, R22 replacement in air conditioning, the use of R407C and the case for or against high pressure.
