Author(s) : SURANGE A.
Summary
Cold store units range from small cold rooms to very large stores for a wide variety of applications. However, the paper deals mainly with medium and large size cold storage plant technology applicable in India. As the cold store units are major consumers of electrical energy, an emphasis has been laid on various measures of achieving energy saving in cold storage practice. Some recent developments related to the application of automatic controls have also been indicated.
