Summary

This is the third volume of the 3rd French edition of the "Recknagel HVAC Handbook", which was translated and adapted from German by Jean-Louis Cauchepin (for volumes 1 and 2, see IIR Bulletin, references 1995-2648 and 1998-1383). The publication comprises 85% new texts, over 300 devices, about 100 examples of detailed calculations, 500 explanatory diagrams and finally an index containing 2500 names. In terms of standards and regulations, the main texts are quoted, as well as major legal acts, rules and decisions. Extract from the table of contents: general information on ventilation and air-conditioning plants; different types of plants; basic equipment; specific plant components (fans, air heating and cooling coils, filters, humidifiers and dehumidifiers, ventilation ducts, acoustic absorption and insulating equipment, regulation equipment, air/air heat recovery; fire protection safety devices); plant calculations.
