Reducing air-conditioning requirements.
La réduction des besoins de climatisation.
Author(s) : ROLLAND D.
Summary
After analyzing physical and energy parameters, the technology for reducing air-conditioning requirements is described. For distributing air, an economizer system is used as it promotes fresh air and diffusion by displacement favours temperature stratification. For the final treatment of the local environment, water-loop heat pumps with VRV (variable refrigerant volume) and with energy recovery are particularly efficient. Centralized heat pumps give high outputs and localised maintenance. Finally, it is possible to save energy using central management of the various controls. J.L.
