Summary
The results of a study on refrigerant emissions performed in France and another on the same issue performed in the US are presented; the first study focused on megastores and the second on supermarkets. The distribution of refrigerant fluid emissions differed greatly from one country to another. Maintenance measures and regulations designed to limit emissions had common features. In certain American chains, policy concerning containment of refrigerants appears to be being set up fast and significant results have already been achieved.
