Summary

This European standard specifies the safety requirements, safety coefficients, testing methods, test pressures used as well as the marking of the liquid level indicating devices, designated by "level indicators", destined to be used in refrigeration systems and heat pumps. It applies to plants connected to refrigerant fluid vessels (for example high-pressure liquid storage tanks, subcoolers and low pressure separators) and to plants connected to other elements of a refrigeration system (for example oil level sight glasses on a compressor).
