THE AUTHOR REPORTS THAT ATMOSPHERES WITH MUCH DECREASED 02 LEVELS (2 TO 3%) MODERATELY INCREASED CO2 LEVELS (3 TO 5%) ARE THE MOST FREQUENTLY PROPOSED FOR THE STORAGE OF FRUIT AND SUMMARISES THE REGULATION CONDITIONS OF SUCH AN ATMOSPHERE, EITHER IN ABSOLUTELY GASTIGHT COLD ROOMS WITH WASHERS (WITH DRY LIME, POTASSIUM CARBONATE, ACTIVATED CHARCOAL, WATER), OR UNDER PLASTIC COVERS, OF WHICH TWO TYPES WERE DESIGNED BY P.
