REGULATIONS AND SAFETY AS TO REFRIGERANTS ARE DISCUSSED IN RELATION WITH THE TRANSPORT AND NUISANCE ACT. BASED ON THE GAS PROPERTIES THE OFFICIAL STATEMENTS HAVE BEEN LAID DOWN IN STANDARDIZED RULES. THE MAIN GAS PROPERTIES ARE: ASPHYXIANT, INFLAMMABLE, TOXIC AND CORROSIVE. WITHIN THE LAW OF TRANSPORTATION RULES FOR THE CYLINDERS HAVE BEEN LAID DOWN IE THE PERIODICAL TESTING AND THE WAY OF TRANSPORT. WITHIN THE NUISANCE ACT THE GOVERNMENT WILL LAY DOWN WRITTEN RULES FOR THE STORAGE AND DECANTING OF REFRIGERANTS. SPECIAL ATTENTION HAS BEEN GIVEN TO AMMONIA, DUE TO ITS TOXIC PROPERTIES.
