Summary
ICT-usage is growing fast, and so is the total energy consumption as a result. It is expected that electricity consumption in The Netherlands as a result of computer usage in households and data centers will grow from 7.5 to 10% of total electricity usage in 2010. Cooling will play a crucial role in saving energy in ICT-environments, specifically in data centers.
