Powerful cooling system for SARA's supercomputer.
Super koelcentrale voor SARA-supercomputers.
Author(s) : VOS G.
Type of article: Article, Case study
Summary
A significant increase in the processing power of one of the world's largest data centers, SARA, required an increase in refrigeration capacity. The new refrigeration plant has integrated the latest technology to reduce the total energy consumption by heat recovery and free cooling. That in turn required the replacement of the existing chillers. What made this project even more special, was the delivery of the chillers in preassembled parts and main components. All these parts are assembled inside a relatively small technical room.
