Summary
ONE SOLUTION KNOWN TO BE EFFECTIVE IS TO ADAPT VARIABLE-SPEED COMPRESSORS FOR THE HEAT PUMPS. THE MAXIMUM FREQUENCY OF THE INVERTERS HAS BEEN RAISED TO 120 HERTZ IN RECENT SMALL HEAT PUMP AIR CONDITIONERS WITH COOLING CAPACITIES UP TO 16 KILOWATTS. THERE IS AN ENERGY SAVING EFFECT DUE TO THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE ANNUAL PERFORMANCE FACTOR AND HIGHER SPEED OPERATION ALSO MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO USE PART OF THE INCREASED AMOUNT OF REFRIGERANT FLOW RATE FOR DEFROSTING.
