In this paper, the main characters of CO2 as a cooling medium and its form of refrigeration system are introduced. The technology of CO2 refrigeration system and its experimental conclusions are then discussed. Through many data points of results and analysis, it shows that CO2 refrigeration system has very high running efficiency and safety and environmentally friendly effect in a suitable temperature range of -55°C to 5°C. CO2 will be one of the most promising refrigerants in the near future because of its environmental protection and energy saving effect.
