Author(s) : TIXIER A.
Type of article: Periodical article
Summary
The author reviews the risk of a CFC shortage and its consequences. Processes for retrofitting a refrigerating plant or group of plants are explained. After an assessment of the installations, different retrofit options must be studied in order to chose between maintaining a CFC refrigerant, retrofitting with a transition or substitute fluid, or installing a new plant. In any case, the rule book will have to be followed with consideration of economic criteria.
