Summary
Studies were carried out during 1998-99 in the Netherlands to investigate the effects of storage temperature (0 and 1.5 °C) and harvesting date on internal browning of cv. Elstar and its red mutants. Low temperature and late harvesting increased the occurrence of internal browning. Recommendations for storage conditions are also presented.
