Sandwich pressurization systems for smoke control.
Author(s) : MARCHANT R.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Movement of smoke within a building will depend mainly upon differences of static pressure. Revised fire regulations for South Australia require automatic control of ventilation dampers on each floor of a high rise building. Supply and exhaust fans are then switched to maintain pressure on the unaffected floors and access shafts, so that smoke cannot leak from the fire zone. A.R.T.
