Summary

The efforts of practitioners to control the cold chain of health products have borne fruit. The last link, often un der the patient's responsibility, is the weakest. The most commonly proposed solutions, in the form of pouches without a cold source or combined with unsuitable eutectic plates, are not sufficiently effective. The Igloo isothermal pouch developed by Sofrigam is a certified solution, which is both reliable and easy to use. Equipped with a cold source at a temperature of +5°C around the product, it is reusable, and is suited to pre-conditioning means available in pharmacies and at the patient's home. It keeps products at temperatures between +2°C and +8°C up for at least 1 hour.
