Summary

Develops the experimental system of spray on the surface of glass roof. Tests the shading and cooling effects with different droplet sizes and distribution densities of micro-droplets. The results show that shading rate is between 21.3% and 38.5% under six test conditions. The smaller the size of micro-droplets is, the better the shading effect will be. The shading rate of same size micro-droplet is increased by 8% when the distribution density is doubled. When the solar radiation intensity ranges from 400 to 1000 W/ m2, both the shading amount and the shading rate increases with the increase of solar radiation intensity. The average temperature on inner surface of glass roof reduces by 16°c, and the peak temperature on inner surface of glass roof decreases from 60°c to 43.9°c.
