SIMPLE SIMULATION OF FAN-COOLED TYPE DOMESTIC REFRIGERATOR-FREEZER WITH AN ADDITIONAL CONTACT COOLING TYPE EVAPORATOR IN FREEZING COMPARTMENT.

Author(s) : KAWAMOTO A.

Summary

A HOUSEHOLD COMPRESSION REFRIGERATOR, EQUIPPED WITH AN EVAPORATOR IN THE FREEZER, HAS BEEN DESIGNED IN SUCH A WAY THAT THE EVAPORATOR TEMPERATURE IN THE FREEZER (QF) IS SLIGHTLY HIGHER THAN THAT OF THE MAIN EVAPORATOR, WHICH PREVENTS THE FROSTING OF THE QF. THE QF TEMPERATURE VARIES AS A FUNCTION OF THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CAPILLARIES OF BOTH EVAPORATORS AND AS A FUNCTION OF THE REFRIGERANT VOLUME. DURING SIMULATION, THE LATTER SHOULD THEREFORE BE TAKEN AS ONE PARAMETER. THE AUTHOR DEVELOPED A PROCEDURE USING THE VOLUME IN A SIMPLE CALCULATION OF THERMAL EQUILIBRIUM. THE RELATIONSHIP SHOWS THE EFFICIENCY OF THIS CALCULATION COMPARED TO THE THEORETICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS OF THIS HOUSEHOLD REFRIGERATOR.
