Summary
A simplified physical model for gas-phase flow within characteristic structure (bellows tablets) of structured packing was established, and the model was solved in CFD method by commercial software FLUENT. Velocity and pressure distribution profiles of the xz, yz cross-section is presented. Vortexes are found at the bottom of bellows tablets and in the central mixed area, some guidance were given for further research of gas and liquid two-phase flow's simulation and experiment.
