IIR document

Simulation of lithium-bromide absorption heat transformer.

Summary

A heat transformer can upgrade the waste heat at temperature of 80 to 120 deg C. A part of the waste heat whose temperature is upgraded is used in the process, and the other is released to the low temperature heat sink or to the surroundings. A lithium bromide absorption heat transformer is designed to recover the waste heat from an organic solvent production process. A simulating model is established and solved with numerical methods. The performances of the transformer are analysed to improve the design.
