Summary
A scheme is presented for block heating. By means of absorption heat pumps using lithium bromide solution, the heat with low thermal potential (35-40 deg C) is recovered from the industrial cooling waters and is used for the preparation of the 70 deg C hot water which can be used for the urban consumption. The heat-pumping station is coupled with a thermal point which uses steam from a waste-heat boiler in a chemical plant.
