Study on an absorption refrigeration cycle with an exhaust heat recovery generator.

Author(s) : ZHENG X. J., SUN H. J., ZHANG H., et al.

Summary

A new absorption refrigeration cycle with an exhaust heat recovery generator is presented. The principle of this novel cycle is explained and a software package is developed for thermodynamic calculation to simulate the operation state of the cycle. Simulation results show that the COP of this cycle increases and fuel consumption decreases as heat recovery generator's vapour percentage alpha increases. As alpha= 1.5%, the increment in COP is about 5%. PER efficiency was increased by about 6.4%. The results also show that exhaust temperature of this cycle can drop to about 120°C,which has energy efficiency and environmental protection benefits.
