Simulation of the performance of an internal-melt ice storage tank.
Author(s) : GU B., JING B. Y., LI Y. G.
Summary
In the paper, the heat transfer process is analysed based on the character of phase-change heat transfer. The bundle-model is established on the basis of hypothesis. Through solving the model with the method of thermal resistance net, the effect of structural parameters such as the material of coils, the diameters of coils and pitch between tubes are analysed. The inlet temperature is also considered. The calculated results are contrasted to obtain the best structure parameters and inlet temperature.
