Summary
A dilution cryostat for expanding the operating cycle is described. It is an Edelman cryostat with a few innovations (adsorption cryocooler replacing the helium 3 pumping cooler cycle; use of liquid helium 4 for precooling). A diagram of the cryostat, and a detailed explanation of its operation and performance are given.
