Single effect/double lift absorption chiller at Munich airport.
Optimierte Kraft-Wärme-Kälte-Kopplung am Flughafen München.

Summary
In order to increase the annual operation of the existing CHP plant at Munich airport, consisting of seven gas/diesel engines with about 11 megawatts electric power, an 2.5 megawatt absorption chiller of the recently developed single effect/double lift type has been integrated into the energy system. It is driven by low temperature cogenerated heat and thus allows for an increased contribution of sorption cooling avoiding high electric demand peaks caused by the operation of compression chillers.
