Summary
Two solidified gas systems have been developed, one based on mass-flow sublimation cold accumulators and the other on combined units consisting of a melted coolant accumulator and of a resolidifying refrigerator. Coolant gases are chosen according to the working temperature, such as methane, ammonia, nitrogen, argon, neon, hydrogen or carbon-oxide.
