Summary

Spaniards bought an estimated 435,000 tonnes of frozen food in 1995, including meat, fish, shellfish, fruit and vegetables, or 4% (18,000 tonnes) less than in 1994. The biggest drops between 1990 and 1995 were in meat (-50%), fish (-32%) and shellfish, molluscs and crustaceans (-20%). Fruit and vegetable consumption, on the other hand, rose by 24% over these six years.
