Spring frost: protection using wind towers to ensure air mixing.
Gel de printemps : protection par brassage d'air avec les tours à vent.
Author(s) : OSAER A.
Type of article: Article
Summary
In certain situations, ensuring air mixing makes it possible to raise the temperature of sensitive plant components by mixing the cold air layer near the ground with that of the warmer layer located above the inversion layer. Wind towers are used to ensure air mixing. Because air mixing is not always sufficient, combined systems can be used: wind towers and heating or spraying under foliage.
