Summary

A transient induction heating technique is used to study the stability measurement of three-component (copper, copper-nickel, niobium-titanium) superconducting wires. The wires are available for developing a low and quick response excitation field winding for superconducting generators. Quench energy measurements on the wires using the induction heating technique are useful for determining stability against short transient disturbances.
