Summary
The influence of bypass heat leak on the optimal performance of a combined refrigeration cycle is examined in this paper. The performance characteristic of the irreversible combined cycle is found to be strongly affected by the rate of heat leak. The model allows a more reasonable prediction of the performance for an actual combined refrigeration cycle than that obtained through a conventional ideal cycle analysis.
