Stirling cycle refrigeration.
Author(s) : RIGGLE P., PENSWICK B.
Summary
The authors describe in detail a free-piston cold production unit using the Stirling cycle with its different exchangers. The use of such a unit in household refrigerators, currently requires cold transmission annex systems, which hamper performance. Mitigating this disadvantage by using a heat pipe has been considered, and is the next step in research programmes.
